This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students attending this school are high poverty. They are English Language Learners and attend a Title I school. All the students from our school receive free breakfast and lunch due to their low economic status.

My students live in a community surrounded by high crime.

Sadly, they often feel unsafe in their own neighborhood. School for my students is a safe haven. Regardless of their situations, my students go to school eager to learn with a positive attitude. My students live like this day in and day out.

My Project

Having a document camera/reader will help my kindergarten students during virtual distance learning. Since this this their first experience learning virtually, a document reader allow me to teach my students different subjects during real time.

This document camera/reader will help my students see the lessons I will be presenting and it will allow me to read my students books as if we were in our classroom.

I will also be able to use manipulatives and show many concepts that will be easy for my students to understand. The document reader will bring many positive benefits to my students, especially during this crucial time.

Having this tool will help them my students have an equal opportunity in learning during the 21st century.
