Help me give my students art supplies and interactive materials such as life cycle props and puppets, that I can use during my live meetings and prerecorded lessons! Pre-K students learn through hands-on and engaging activities and lessons.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"Children learn as they play, most importantly in play, children learn how to learn" - O. Fred Donaldson - My students are fun-loving kids. Many of my students are English Language Learners. My students and I have embarked on the distance learning journey! We are actively engaged in all sorts of different online platforms and learning new things. My students and I participate in Google Meet to go over new material and to check in with each other. In addition, I am recording lessons at home for them to view and continue to learn new material. I am amazed by their level of engagement and participation, and families' willingness to try new things. Despite all that is going on, my students are still eager learners!
My Project
My students vary in ability and language acquisition. The one thing they all have in common is their love for learning. My students love to create and share their art with me through ClassDojo.
We are beginning to learn all about Transformation, and because we had to grab all of our belongings for remote learning in only 3 days, I did not grab some important things for this unit.
The various materials such as art materials, life cycle props, and puppets will provide engaging lessons to the children. I am excited and determined to make their first experience in school a good one despite all of the challenges we are facing!
