This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are an amazing group of kids, ranging from 9th grade to 11th grade. Currently, they are really struggling this year due to the hybrid learning / remote learning requirements for 2020. They are trying their best to learn from home, but many of them lack the resources needed to achieve success in this environment.
Despite many of them coming from households that have not studied beyond high school, they are extremely determined to make the best of the situation and learn as much as they can this year.
They inspire me daily and I want to provide them with the best math success I can give them.
My Project
These materials will continue to enhance my students' experience while learning remotely this year. The headphones + microphone will help eliminate background noise, as well as enable my students to hear me more clearly hear. The various cables and adapters are for the technology in my classroom and at home - so that I can see my students throughout the class period, as well as share my devices with them. The laptop sleeve will be used to protect the iPad that is the primary source of remote Algebra instruction.
