My Project
My students will be dissecting clams to help explore rainforest animals and then we will be dissecting chicken wings to understand how bird wings work.
Gloves and goggles are the basic supplies for dissections that make the students feel they are real scientists. They will be learning about basic lab safety. We have dissected flowers but they only used a regular scissors and their hands. Clams are kept in an formaldehyde concoction.
Clams will help us learn about other living things . The chicken wings will help the students learn about the physics of flight.
