Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our brand new school was stocked up with many tools for the science lab. Unfortunately, we do not have some important tools necessary for biology labs, specifically, dissection trays and a freezer that may be dedicated solely to dissection samples.
My students were genuinely disappointed that they were not able to experience what a dissection is.
We agreed that having the ability to dissect in the lab would have added an extra dimension of understanding to their learning.
I want to be able to provide that extra layer of understanding to all my students. Labs help students gain a better understanding of concepts by motivating curiosity and inspiring inquiry. These are the lessons they remember years down the road!
