My Project
There are 10 species of owls in Alaska and the species makes up an important part of the state's many ecosystems. Being able to dissect an owl pellet would allow the students in my classroom to understand how the bird fits into the food web of each ecosystem and what they eat within it.
My students are hands-on learners who progress both academically and socially when they are able to get up, interact with others, and use their hands to learn.
This would be an amazing opportunity for them to learn more about the natural world and one of its processes.
