Dissecting Biology

My students need 50 frogs to dissect as well as tools including trays, scissors, and pins.

This project is fully funded

I teach high school biology to sophomores at a public school. We have a very limited budget, and purchasing lab materials is not possible.

Our science laboratory is in a very sad state. It has been used as storage for the last ten years or so, instead of being used for science projects. We have supplies that are outdated, broken, or simply do not work. We do not have most supplies for science projects. The dissection kits used several years ago, are missing pieces.

Since the first day of school, my students have been asking and begging to dissect frogs this year. As our science laboratory is extremely under-stocked, we cannot afford to let our students participate in this classic biology lab project. By giving the students the opportunity to participate in this dissection, I feel my students will get a first hand experience looking at an organism, tissues, and organs. The trays, scissors, and pins can be used several more times.

When you think back to your high school biology class, the project that stands out is always dissecting a frog! Your donation will give these students the opportunity that other schools do every year.
