My Students

I am a teacher in a high poverty school district. Many of my students are being raised by single parents or struggling families. The students I teach are faced with challenges both in and out of the classroom. Not only are my students faced with poverty, but they also have special needs. I am looking to provide them with creative, yet meaningful experiences.

My students are energetic, creative, and spontaneous.

They deserve to receive love and lots of positive attention. From the minute they walk in the door of my classroom, I focus on their abilities and potential. I want them to experience life and have some of the opportunities they may not be afforded in their everyday lives. I want to do this in a creative and positive way. My focus is to inspire learners of all abilities to believe they can achieve what they dream.

My Project

I teach children with special needs and making materials accessible for them is very important. Having pocket charts and materials at their level will help them become engaged in learning. They will have the opportunity to interact with the materials at the white board and at their centers.

Hands-on Experiences are amazing.

We will be able to have students participate with materials at their own pace and teacher guided. Having the ability to have hands-on experiences with the materials provided will help students learn about the world around them.
