My Students
I am a displaced teacher who not only loss my home and both vehicles, loss my classroom and all materials in the recent flood. My students and I have been displaced from our school with little to no resources. They are in desperate need of normalcy as we deal with our losses. My student are extremely hopeful that life will return back to the way it was prior to this devastating flood. I am deeply saddened but am hopeful as well that we will get through this together.
My Project
My students will gain a since of normalcy again. Like myself, they have not only been displaced from their homes, we have loss our school which received 4.5 feet of water. My students lost their supplies as well as technology. My students will have to share a classroom with another teacher and their students. Our classroom will be divided into groups of 6-8 per table. Students will share materials as we strive to foster innovative teaching and learning. Our classroom will be an environment in which we will have to roll up our sleeves and roll with the punches. This printer and copier will be an aid to get us back on the right path while helping my students get the materials they need to be successful. We will use them to showcase student work.
