My Students
I have a classroom of adorable four-year-olds. I love their eagerness and curiosity about the world around them. The children are involved in many activities throughout the day.
My children engage with their peers in choice time center activities that involve many opportunities for hands-on learning, growing, and socializing.
I would like the opportunity to engage my students more, as they learn through play each and every day.

My Project
For my project, "Discovering Science In Class Pre-K 223," I am asking for a color paddle set, a set of animal books with real photographs and animal facts, and a microscope designed specifically for little hands. These materials will make a difference in my students' learning. The color paddles will make a difference in my students' learning because recognizing colors and identifying the color names is an important part of a child's development. Early identification of colors helps to create the cognitive link between visual clues and words. They will also be a beneficial tool when we learn about mixing colors. The animal books with real photographs and animal facts will engage the children to want to explore books and learn more about different animals and build language as they talk and discuss what each animal looks like and how they are similar and different from other animals. Finally, the my first microscope will make a difference in my students' learning by providing them an up close look at different materials.
