This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
When we survey the students at the beginning of the year and ask them what their favorite subject is many choose reading or math. Instruction is usually so focused on those subjects that science gets pushed to the wayside or forgotten about altogether. That is where my class comes in. I strongly believe students learn and remember better through doing.
This project will help my students be able to conduct Force & Motion investigations from beginning to end.
Students will be able to build their own vehicles, experiment with the way forces such as mass and friction affect the motions of the vehicles, and engineer new vehicles to make them more effective.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
