I teach twenty-three students in the low country of South Carolina. They are caring and love getting online. They get hands-on crazy and love building and creating. They are great writers and thinkers. Many live below the poverty level. You are truly loved by these students. They love to learn and love getting attention. Most have never had the experiences that most students have had. They may not have touched books, or even have books at home.
My Project
My classroom loves to read on the carpet. Ours is old and dirty and on its last threads. We also need stools to sit on. These would be used in our guided reading area. I picked a bright wonderful carpet that will cause instant excitement. There will be a place for each student to sit on. They will be so very happy with this new bright colorful carpet. The stools are rainbow colored and bright. I know my students will love lying on the new carpet and reading. They will build reading skills with such excitement. You can remove our old dirty carpet and give us somewhere to learn.
