Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My twenty students are between three to five years old. Ten of them have been identified with a special need and are on an Individual Education Plan. These needs include autism spectrum disorder, speech and language delays, cognitive delays, difficulty with fine and gross motor skills and social-emotional concerns along with other associated diagnosis. The additional ten students are typically developing Pre-K students that enhance the program.

The students are learning how to work cooperatively in an inclusion setting that provides support in the overall development of early childhood.

Embedded is a high-quality Pre-K curriculum with a print and language rich hands-on learning environment to promote early education.

The school population is made up of all cultures and economic situations. The school provides free breakfast to all students and has a free or reduced-price lunch program for those who qualify. The teachers and administration present safe, working classrooms for all students to grow and develop in a collaborative atmosphere

My Project

These computers will enhance the learning process of my students. Every child in my class has a different learning style which means they need different approaches to achieve their goals. It is important to reach each student's need and give them every opportunity to succeed.

With these new computers, my students will become more independent and less frustrated during their time on the computer.

Every student has the opportunity to be successful by using a unique learning program geared toward their current level. It is very important to teach young students how to use technology prior to entering kindergarten. It is a headstart into the future of their education.
