I love teaching kindergarten. Five year-olds have this amazing energy that is infectious. They devour stories, soak up knowledge like sponges, and always ask for more.
They love to be able to get up close and experience learning.
Each student has a unique point of view and they are eager to share with each other. There are days when they make you laugh, want to pull your hair out, or even cry. There is never a dull moment in kindergarten!
My Project
Imagine coming to school one day to find your classroom transformed. You have to walk through a canopy of jungle ivy just to enter and there are funny footprints leading to the door. Your teacher has turned your desks into Jeeps and you have a vest and hat that you must wear to be prepared for the adventure you are about to embark on.
There is a mysterious and strange looking egg that your teacher has found.
What could possibly be inside? It starts to move! A baby dinosaur hatches. You will learn all about Paleontologists (that's your costume) and learn about the different kinds of dinosaurs that you see around the classroom. Your teacher will even ride a dinosaur into work one day!
All of the materials in this project will help transform the room into Jurassic Park and fully immerse the students in a world full of dangerous predators and fun.
