Traveling back and forth between schools can be challenging. I have two classrooms at two different schools. Both schools are within five minutes of each other and are both Title I schools. This opportunity allows me to work with twice the number of students. This year, I have the opportunity to work with students in person as well as virtually. While this is rewarding, it has created a variety of challenges to work towards overcoming.
My third and second graders enjoy hands-on activities, as well as getting the opportunity to be creative and explore the world.
They enjoy getting the opportunity to move around the classroom and learn in various environments.
While I can take some materials with me between schools, I need to leave other materials behind. The Covid-19 Pandemic has added additional concerns and needs within my classroom. I need additional materials to ensure that all students have their own materials.
My students deserve to have safe and clean classrooms that are fully stocked with materials for their needs. I am a new teacher and working towards getting more materials for my students.
My Project
I am hoping to get a classroom doorbell for my classroom to use as a classroom management strategy. In addition to the classroom doorbell, I am hoping to get basics such as a pencil sharpener, pencils, erasers, and a stapler. Pencils are always needed and the students often go through them quickly. Not all students are able to supply their own pencils or erasers.
The pencils and erasers will be available for students to use whenever they are needed.
This simple and basic necessity is needed for my students and our classroom. Without the pencil sharpener, pencils, and erasers, students are unable to erase and complete their work.
