My Project
I am a New York City public school educator. I am a part of District 75, which is a cohort of many schools across our city and has the highest amount of special needs students. Our district is specifically designed to educate students with disabilities. My students have Autism and multiple disabilities whom many are economically disadvantaged. My students are some of the most disadvantaged students in New York.
Our district works a 12-month program, so it is essential to have appropriate educational materials and curriculum to support them and meet their individualized learning needs.
I want their education to be fun and exciting and one of the ways to do this is by having a flipped digital classroom engaging students individualized interest in multiple formats. I want to ensure that we can meet their needs and encourage their learning. Which is why having enriching digital STEM resources are so important. A gift card for TPT will provide quick & easy access to engaging differentiated standards- based lessons to enrich the students learning. Making escape rooms and STEAM digital resources are time consuming and as a teacher it is hard to dedicate enough time to create these resources with everything else we must do to support students.
