This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our class is one of the best on campus!
Our students are dedicated, hard-working young adults who strive to do their best in class on a daily basis!
Most students at our school come from a low socio-economic background, which makes it difficult for some of them to have what is needed in class. About 90% of our students are on reduced lunch at school. This doesn't stop our students from giving their best in class. They are able to look passed their disadvantages and continue to be hard-workers!
My Project
We have been using Chrome books in our classroom to integrate digital learning. As a class we are always looking for different ways to help our environment and have conversations about what can be done. Recently, we have discovered digital whiteboards! We thought of the idea of getting rid of smelly whiteboard markers and those whiteboards that take up some space in our desks! With these styluses we will be able to have digital whiteboards and a “digital” marker to continue our daily lessons in all subjects! It will completely help with student engagement and motivate students complete their work.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
