Help me give my students with varying backgrounds the abilities to learn and create with a digital platform. These resources will help my students navigate through time to Ancient Rome while learning from their computers.
I have a classroom full of over several periods of thirty-three inquisitive, creative, and active sixth graders who are adapting to a 'new' way of school with a love of learning. This has created a need to develop their foundational learning skills, as well as advance their development in problem-solving skills while flourishing their intellectual understanding and processing.
My classroom is made up of diverse learners from a wide range of backgrounds.
Some of my students are English Language Learners (ELLs), some of my students receive free or reduced-price lunch and some have special learning needs. All of my students need to be actively engaged in their learning and need a program that can enhance their learning that can help meet the needs of these diverse learners. Children need to be able to not only move their bodies to get their brain-firing neurons for reading, analyzing various texts, understanding social studies, while developing their written word; but children need various opportunities to express and learn these key important factors.
My Project
Teachers Pay Teachers is a great place to find various resources, handouts, and more - ALL written and developed by teachers for teachers. I have used Teachers Pay Teachers in the past (mostly funded out of my own pocket) because the art, history, reading resources are excellent. Many teachers share their ideas, lessons, and resources for a small fee. Having a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will give me access to these thousands of resources that I could use with my students. This is the perfect year to be able to print, download, and share these resources with my students - we have in-person learning about to begin, while teaching simultaneously with distance learners now. I'm trying to discover a way to accommodate both by sharing paper copies for student binders more and more this year so in the event we learn from home, students have what they need.
