My Students

Welcome to Ms. Simpson's Stampede! I teach at an amazing Title I school in Phoenix, Arizona. I am so lucky to have an amazing, smart, energetic group of 30 first graders. My students are eager to learn new things and succeed. We take pride in all of our hard work and we have fun while doing it!

My students come from many different backgrounds, cultures, and neighborhoods!

Our classroom is a place where students can work together to solve problems, make new friends and enjoy school! We have established a strong first-grade family and a safe place where all are welcome, excited to learn, try new things, and work hard to achieve their goals. We engage in lots of hands-on, engaging, and cooperative learning activities to keep us eager and motivated to learn. Every day is a new adventure with Ms. S.'s Stampede and I love watching them grow while we laugh, learn, and have fun together!

My Project

Digital Reading resources will allow my students to successfully learn how to read while learning online at home! Although our circumstances are restricted right now, these students are not letting anything get in the way of their learning. They are determined, motivated and so excited to learn each day.

Each digital resource takes a lot of time.

Time is always the toughest thing to find as a teacher especially when you have to convert all paper resources into digital user-friendly for my young learners. The talented educator community has created many resources that will help support my students to practice their phonics instruction in a fun way. Teachers Pay Teachers is a great online platform that allows other teachers to share their amazing activities they are doing with their students! I am so very thankful for what the educator community does to help support, inspire, and motivate each and everyone of us!
