it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Welcome to the distance learning digital photography classroom!
We are a low income school in Prince William County which currently is battling the second highest number of coronavirus cases in Virginia.
Our school is 81% minorities, and we know our students are on the front lines of the pandemic with jobs in food service, and retail sales, working to help support their families. We have been out of school since March 13th, with no answers towards what learning will look like in the fall. Help me get resources to my photo students who are stuck at home!
My Project
Please help our Photography Department fulfill our students' needs during the COVID-19 crisis. Due to school shut downs, and likely distance learning in the future we are in need of your help. In order to keep our kids safe, and provide them access to the photography materials they need we have had to stretch our already cut budget to within an inch of our lives.
It is our hope that the community will help us fill the gap, and give our kids what they need to stay creatively engaged, and continue learning the importance of the arts.
It has been proven time and again the power of creative and visual processing, problem solving, the healing power of making art. During these times our students need the arts more than ever, they need an outlet to express how they are feeling, and a safe environment to share their creations. Please consider helping us keep our students engaged and taking photographs!
