Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As a teacher in a low-income school district, my students are confronted with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Every day, these first graders come to school with big smiles and ready to learn regardless of what happens outside. Upon entering our school, we always try to instill a love for learning. I try to find various ways to keep them engaged and ensure that they learn to their full potential. My greatest reward is seeing them grow into sagacious, independent, kind, and respectful people.
My Project
My students would benefit from being able to have access to various resources for daily reinforcement in the use of technology as well as reading and math. Having Chromebooks in my classroom would enable my students to learn and practice at their own level. Unfortunately, the lower grades dont have any chromobooks because the quantity we have in our building are used for the testing grade levels. Technology afforded by the use of Chromebooks will reinforce the lessons taught in class and would allow me to monitor their academic progress.
My students will be supported and able to further increase their proficiency in targeted areas of reading and math as they access technology through online learning to meet state standards.
I would love for my students to have the opportunity to grow with the new addition of Chromebooks.
This project will greatly impact my students' learning by affording them an opportunity to utilize technology.
