The objective and goal of the project is to incorporate digital microscopes into the hands of students. This will not only spark curiosity in our students, but it will also help them develop digital skills to be successful in our always changing technology world! It will allow the teacher to truly bring many of the standards we teach to life through real world scenarios!
This project requests large digital microscopes to be used in science classrooms.
The larger digital microscopes will give us updated microscopes to use in the classroom for students. The screen makes it easy for students to see the specimen up close, and it will allow students to see the microorganisms discussed in science class. The large digital microscopes are much more user friendly for the students which allows them to see the actual item they are viewing under the microscope.
I plan to use the microscopes to teacher cells, protist, and fungi during our classification unit. I also plan on using the microscope to help students see items up close and personal during our plant and animal unit!
