My Students
As 4th graders getting ready to leave elementary school, our students are learning to flex their study skills muscles.
My students live in East Flatbush, Brooklyn and are fully remote this year.
Most of my students come from first or 2nd generation immigrant families.
My Project
In our classrooms, we used to layout pattern blocks, fraction tiles, and geoboards to help students build a concrete understanding of the math concepts before moving onto pencil and paper strategies.
Brainingcamp allows our students to have those same materials online.
Kami is the perfect companion because it provides the seamless ability for kids to write on and edit documents regardless of the device they are using.
This project will help build strong mathematicians in our remote classrooms from the safety of their homes. We can continue their progress when schools reopen in the fall.
