My Students
I am very lucky to work with such amazing children each day! Currently, I teach two blocks of math and science to 40 intelligent, motivated, and creative third graders. They work collaboratively to use their inquiry and problem solving skills throughout the day.
My students are naturally curious and extremely supportive of each others learning.
They want to grow both academically and personally. They come from a variety of backgrounds, each with their own learning style. Not only are my students wonderful, the parents are extremely supportive. There is a strong home school connection that makes our school such a special place to work.
My Project
My students will be thrilled to use these tablets to enhance their learning experiences in the classroom. Programs on these tablets can be used during collaborative group work, independent practice, and review of learned material. Educational apps such as IXL, math workout, iReady, and Khan academy will be utilized.
Presenting curriculum in varied formats, outside of paper/pencil, is essential for children growing up in a technology driven world.
High engagement levels are key to student growth and success. This project will sure get kids excited about learning and sky rocket interest in both math and science! I am excited to get things "charged up"!
