My Students

Albert Einstein quotes, "The mind that opens to a new idea never returns to its original size." Therefore, my goal is to provide my diverse learners with meaningful projects and instructional resources to address the disabilities that impede their learning, such as attention-deficit, dyslexia, social-emotional, and autism. Their past experiences of failure in school have outweighed their successes as they also deal with socioeconomic ills within their communities, making the burden to learn more difficult.

Nevertheless, despite their circumstances, my students are inquisitive, creative, hopeful, and eager to come to school- their haven; therefore, they know that their teacher holds their minds dear to her heart and will continue to discover innovative ways to challenge them to think and learn!

Aligning each student to the appropriate instructional resources, my students can grasp concepts through a combination of visual stimuli and usage of hands-on materials, as well as respond to intervention through interactive, arts-infused, project-based, hands-on learning activities. With time and investment in exploring how they learn, my students will leave my classroom with a newfound growth mindset!

My Project

I am a Diverse Learner educator and teach students who need specialized instruction to meet their varied learning needs. Students' understanding of concepts and knowledge acquisition does not come in a "one size fits all" package. Thus, teachers must have a plethora of resources in their toolkit to proficiently address multiple learning modalities. Teachers Pay Teacher contains pre-; prepared virtual material across many grade levels and subjects.

Digital Resources are a true winner with my students and their specialized needs!

I teach across four grade levels, and there is a range in my students' academic and social-emotional abilities. Finding digital material to targeted diverse needs can be cumbersome, and creating material can take long hours. Thus, I have used Teachers Pay Teachers in the past to purchase instruction that I found to be aligned to both my students' deficits and strengths.

The curriculum created for teachers by teachers is pertinent as the resources, once previously successful in other classrooms, can make a difference in the education of my students. Some of the bundle kits are expensive; however, I consider them to be a gift that keeps giving as students find the resources engaging, interactive, and motivating them to learn in a digital environment.
