This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I love teaching 1st grade! My room is full of kind, caring, creative, curious, and eager learners. They are fearless when it comes to technology and, as children of the 21st century, they need to be prepared to use a variety of tools to engage in their world. These students want to be at school and are eager to learn! We are a neighborhood school where families play an active part in the learning environment. Our goal is to raise productive citizens that love learning and want to make a positive impact where they reside.

My Project

With the most recent events in our nation's history, we have become more aware about how important this technology is. Our classroom has five computers for our students to share. Adding these two Chromebooks will allow my children to have access to programs that will meet their individual needs during math and reading centers. Read to self is one of the small group centers during rotations. As developing readers, this task is difficult for most. My pupils can access online stories that will help instill a love of reading. Math centers will become more engaging with leveled activities that reinforce the concepts being taught. The Chromebooks will also aid the students in doing independent research and enrichment activities. By donating to this project, you will be positively impacting all my students! In today’s classroom, having advanced technology is a huge advantage. I want my students to have every opportunity to succeed and by adding two Chromebooks is a step in the right direction.
