My Students
I teach at a Title I school in North Miami where most of my students receive free breakfast and lunch. They have limited access to technology at home. I have an amazing class of 22 Kindergarten students who are eager to learn how to read and are also learning Spanish.
My students are creative, curious, motivated, full of energy and deserving of a fun and effective learning opportunity through the use of technology.
My goal is to make learning come alive through technology.
My Project
Kindergarten is the foundation for early literacy success. The tablets will inspire a lifelong love for reading. Students will be engaged in a positive and fun reading experience. It will allow a greater level of differentiation. My students can work independently while I work with the other half of my students. The students will engage in a variety of phonic apps, listen to stories, programs such as iReady, My On, building words ,English and Spanish language acquisition, math, and science. The possibilities are endless! The exposure to technology will allow my students to improve language skills, build motivation, and develop new talents to be successful learners.
