Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are in a bilingual program where they learn in Spanish and English. Many of them are immigrants or come from recent immigrant families making it more meaningful to maintain their native language. They love coming to school and are eager to learn and work together. My students are very curious and enjoy asking questions and exploring new materials and ideas.
For many of my students, this is their first time in school, and they are excited about the new things they learn every day.
My Project
After a year of distance learning, we learned how to integrate more technology into our lessons. We want to continue to provide students with developmentally appropriate resources that are both engaging and will help prepare them for Kindergarten. We would love to have access to more interactive digital games that are available through the Teachers Pay Teachers marketplace to play during our lessons and their free play.
Specifically, there are several Boom Learning games, Seesaw activities, and Google Slides games for practicing number sense and literacy skills.
This gift card to Teachers Pay Teachers will help us make sure that we have the resources we need to continue to teach our young preschool students by using technology.
