My Project
Part of being in E-Sports is having the equipment to compete. The consoles on this list will help us do just that. They have serious performance to help us keep pace. The disc edition of these consoles, while up front, are more expensive and keep costs down in the long run. Digital content is expensive and hardly ever goes on sale. Also, the downside of digital only content is that it is tied to the account that purchases it and cannot be shared or traded. With disc edition consoles, games can be purchased cheaper and provided more easily and can be traded in on or sold for newer versions should the need arise.
In a sport where seconds matters, both player and equipment need to be top level.
Going back to performance on the Xbox Series X it is a superior upgrade from a series S. The series X has a custom processor that runs at 3.8GHz and a GPU that has 12 teraflops of computing power and 16GB of RAM. On the other hand the series S has 3.6GHz and a GPU that runs at 4 teraflops with 10GB of RAM. The PlayStation 5 offers those players a chance to compete without having to have one of their own and that does not game on an Xbox.
Over the course of my first year as an E-Sports coach I've seen kids become more active with others. These students have had the best time getting to be around students who share their same passions. It's been a great experience.
