Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our school is proud to have its first class of seventh graders this year. As our students continue to grow and learn, we are working hard to meet their needs. The 22-23 school year is the first year that our school is offering middle school students an elective special period. One of the electives is STEM, and with that, our students will be engaging in more challenging, authentic STEM experiences.
In order to provide our students with authentic STEM experiences, we are going to be participating in a field study that will require many tools.
One of these tools, which will be vital for documentation are digital cameras that the students can use in small groups. It is my hope to encourage these students to pursue STEM beyond their K-12 education by providing the opportunity to engage in real world STEM projects.
