I am a 28 year old teacher of a class of 28 bright, wonderful and lovable first grade students. I have been teaching at my school for 5 years now. I am not from the area, but there is just something about the kids at my school. They are special and I really, truly feel that I can help them. My kids have so much to deal with before they even step foot into my classroom. I would love to get a digital camera for my class. Throughout the years I have noticed that my kids have very few pictures of themselves. At the beginning of every year, I ask every student to bring in a baby picture. Many say that they don't have any pictures of themselves. I can't imagine what that would be like to grow up without pictures to look back on. I use a regular 35mm camera to take pictures of my kids on a weekly basis. They get very excited and constantly ask when I'm going to get the pictures developed. I would love to be able to give them the pictures right there and then. They can view it on the computer and print it our themselves! I take my kids on many class trips, and I also love to take pictures of them during memorable moments. Every kid should have that to look back on.
