it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The Digital Beginnings project aims to introduce 4-year-old children in Head Start programs to technology by providing age-appropriate laptops. Through this initiative, we seek to enhance their learning experiences and prepare them for a tech-driven world by familiarizing them with basic digital tools with a laptop.
Key components include hands-on learning activities that promote essential computer skills, such as using a mouse and keyboard, along with interactive educational games that support literacy and numeracy.
Group activities will encourage teamwork, while guided sessions will help children navigate safe, age-appropriate digital resources.
To involve parents, we will offer workshops on supporting their children's tech learning at home and distribute resources on safe internet practices. By monitoring progress and gathering feedback, we aim to ensure that children develop foundational tech skills, fostering confidence and a positive attitude toward learning in an increasingly digital environment.
