This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our project is to study a fiction novel. The novel, Holes, interests young readers through its engaging plot, relatable characters, and themes about mystery, perseverance, and justice.

This book simply resonates with young audiences.

With that being said, my goal is to turn my non-readers into lifelong readers and to turn my picture book readers into chapter book readers. My students come from different ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, so this is the book to capture the minds, interests, and hearts of my students before going to middle school.
