My students need 16 fiction and non-fiction books about plants, gardening, farming, and composting as well as poster sets on plants.

This project is fully funded
I teach fifty 4th grade children gifted students from 15 different schools throughout our city. We are part of a large metropolitan public school district and most of the children are on free lunch program.
This year all of our teacher supply funds were completely taken away which has left me with no funds to gain the much needed resources we need.
We have volunteers who have started a community garden at our school to teach the children how to garden, including planting, composting, and pest management. Our students will not only learn how to grow their own food but will learn responsibilities of maintaining the garden and nutrition. The books and posters we need will be an accompaniment to the hands-on learning in the garden.
Your help will make it possible for our students to have an opportunity to read and learn more about the garden. This will include how plants grow, how to create a compost, and how to create a natural habitat for animals to manage potential pests.
