My Project
My 5th grade students are curious, energetic, and full of potential. They come to school each day ready to learn and eager to explore new stories and ideas. Many of them face challenges outside the classroom, but within our room, they find a safe place where they can grow as readers, thinkers, and individuals.
One of our upcoming units focuses on the novel Holes by Louis Sachar.
This powerful story teaches important themes like friendship, resilience, and justice—all while keeping students hooked with mystery and humor. Unfortunately, we don’t have enough copies for each student to follow along and fully engage with the text.
By helping us get a class set of Holes, you're giving my students the opportunity to develop critical reading skills, participate in thoughtful discussions, and experience the joy of reading a high-quality novel together. These books will not only be used this year, but for many years to come—impacting countless readers. Thank you for helping bring literature to life in our classroom!
