Help me give my students books they can enjoy that are made for diverse readers. This is a list of books to send my students books that they requested.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are very curious and insightful and always looking to learn something new. They are amazing individuals just looking for guidance to foster their learning. Although they are brilliant, they have overcome so much in their young lives. My students go to a small public school in Bronx, NY that is in one of the neighborhoods with the lowest SES. They deserve to have the same materials they may not be able to attain on their own.
My Project
In March of 202, my students took home a book and went home for what we thought would be a couple of weeks. Little did we know we would not be returning the entire 2019-2020 school year. With this funding, students will get the opportunity to take home these books and read it during their SSR time when they are learning remotely or in school.
Students in my class requested these books that they would love to read!
This will inspire them to read because they are books the kiddos choose & want to read! Many of the books are from diverse authors and experiences.
