Differentiation: Tablets for Personalized Leveled Texts and Optimal Reading Growth!
My students need the tablets to enable them to develop their reading comprehension skills at home and at school, individually and in small groups with me.

Our students come from various backgrounds but they all have one thing in common: an intense thirst for knowledge!
They take advantage of any and all opportunities to learn and grow. Although some live in poverty, they refuse to let anyone's preconceived notions define them. Anyone who has spent a day with our scholars realizes that they are determined and focused--and nothing will stop them from reaching success in the present and in the future!
My Project
The tablets will enable me to set individual, leveled reading texts for my students through digital apps. I will then be able to collaborate with parents regarding their student's personalized reading targets, and provide ongoing feedback to students and parents about next steps.
Parents will be able to monitor their child's progress and support their child through the goals and tasks set by me in class.
Involving parents as equal partners in their child's learning is key to ensuring optimal growth for students. An informed parent can keep track and support his or her child and therefore be part of a triangular partnership with child and school.
We will use apps that will provide digital feedback to myself that I in turn will use to create future learning tasks to enable students to achieve the learning objectives. Parents will then receive digital information straight from the app and from myself to provide a pathway of support to enable classroom learning to continue at home.
