Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are special because they are faced with many disadvantages that many adults could not handle. While facing some of the challenges, many of my students come to school and put their best foot forward.

There are many educational gaps that my students face and I want to help alleviate some of the issues so that my students can focus on education.

I do understand that I can not solve all of their problems, but I want to do what I can.

We are a Title I campus that has great potential to be a shining light within the community. I believe that my students can ignite change and shift the culture of the campus to hope.

My Project

I want to use these tablets to allow my students an alternative to learning simply from direct instruction. This will give me a chance to individualize their lessons to help them gain a better understanding and practice areas of concern. The tablets will be a station that my struggling students may use to receive additional support academically.

The tablets will help me differentiate my lessons for those who need more help or translations for language barriers.

I will use various programs that will provide students with videos, tutorials and examples to help them gain an understanding of the concept. The programs that I use will monitor the growth and progress of my students.

I believe that the tablets will allow students to grow mathematically and build confidence within themselves.
