My students need learning centers and activities to help them understand and grasp the information presented through the common core state standards.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Imagine entering a classroom on a first day and being told that you have to follow and quickly learn something called a standard? Well, at least you can make it enjoyable and fun for my students.
As a Special Education teacher, I work with a variety of students in different grade levels ranging from Kindergarten through Fifth grade.
My students come from a neighborhood in which poverty is high. Some of our students live in a shelter, foster care and housing projects. Approximately, a quarter (20%+) of our students are identified as special needs students and require extra support and differentiated instruction. Our schools seeks to provide support to the students and their families in many different ways.
My Project
I am requesting teacher resource books and materials to help me provide differentiated instruction to all of my students. The books and materials will allow me to extend the instruction in a fun and engaging way. As many of the students are considered to have special needs, they require the extra support and hands-on activities to grasp the concepts taught in school. All of the materials requested align with the required Common Core State Standards. This means that it will prepare my students through their academic journeys. I have requested language and mathematics based books to help my students enhance their skills.
Your donation will have a positive impact in the lives of my students.
They come from a neighborhood in which many resources are needed. You can make their educational journey fun, enjoyable and a positive experience.
