My Students

My students are emerging, independent learners. They are taking responsibility for some of their own learning and the iPads, with their built in flexibility, and seemingly unending stream of educationally appropriate apps, will provide my students with a vehicle to become more independent.

Our school is a Kindergarten-fifth grade elementary school with 454 enthusiastic students.

We have a dual language (Spanish and English) program as well as a bilingual program. Our poverty rate is 63%. Our students, like many across the globe, soak up information when it is presented in an engaging, multimedia fashion.

My Project

Technology that incorporates hands-on learning, with interactive images and accurate information, has the potential to engage every student at their level. iPads for my classroom would facilitate increased learning in many curriculum areas. With careful supervision and guidance, the iPads will also allow students the opportunity to have lessons differentiated and delivered at a level that maximizes their academic growth.

The requested materials will provide my students the opportunity to engage in learning that is interactive and engaging.

It will allow teachers a means of differentiating and extending learning for all students.
