This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I recently changed grade levels to 4th-6th. When I read through the children's IEPS, I realized most of them are either not reading or reading below 1st grade level. I was recently trained in Orton-Gillingham. A terrific program that helps with Dyslexia. I found these great resources on Donor's choose and I am hoping that these resources can help motivate older children to want to read and know they can. I am excited to try the Orton-gillingham method with these students! I know it really would have helped me. I also have dyselxia. Thank you for considering giving to my new students.
