My Students
Hello everyone,
My students are a joyful, energetic, and curious bunch of bees that are eager to learn and explore.
They demonstrate curiosity as learners through their engagement and participation during morning instruction. In our classroom, we work on many different things like social-emotional development, phonics, mathematics, and reading. With the start of the new school year, our classroom is a community where my students feel comfortable and safe to express themselves, their interests, and ideas.
The majority of my students come from low socioeconomic families and don't have many resources available to them outside of the school setting. For me as an educator, it is essential and my goal to provide my students with various manipulatives, books, and materials that will allow them to continue to express themselves freely within the school and home setting. Providing my students with the necessary supplies and materials will allow them to grow and learn as individuals.
In our school, we have two pre-k classrooms and two 3-K classrooms. Currently, I teach students in one of the Pre-K classes.. All the teachers and I collaborate closely together in creating the best learning space we can for our students.
My Project
Hello donors,
With the help of these manipulatives my students will be able to engage in exploration and learning to prepare them for the next grade level.
The students will use the various manipulatives to explore, create, and learn in connection to our 10 Interdisciplinary Units of Studies. With the resources in this project students will participate in conversations with teachers to allow them to expand their vocabulary and language skills and work together to answer higher order thinking questions. Allowing my students to have different manipulatives will increase their interest in learning and growing as scholars.
