Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come from low-income socioeconomic status and they all receive free or reduced lunch. They are a group of energetic and dedicated students who learn best when their needs are being accommodated. They love hands-on activities and engaging projects that allow their minds to grow and figure out a solution. They love coming to school every day to learn new things and grow personally and academically. I want to provide as many tools as possible to help my students access the curriculum.
My Project
I teach a combo special education class in grades K-2nd, and my students benefit from differentiated instruction. My students are at different levels, and these materials will help me create differentiated and engaging lessons to scaffold their instruction to meet their IEP goals. I would love to be able to print modified assignments for extra practice or a lesson extension without having to worry about running out of my printing quota at school. All my students have accommodations such as a hundred charts, sentence frames, and lots of visuals. Having ink will allow me to print all the visuals my students need.
