Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am putting this project together to get literacy materials for myself for all my students with different needs. I am a new teacher and am trying to have different options for learning opportunities in my classroom. I have three different grades so I am trying to make sure I can provide for all my students. I want learning to be fun and I want my students to be able to explore with new and different learning tools. One of my goals this year is to help my students with reading and writing so being able to have materials to explore those subjects would be great. Each child in my class learns differently so I have to make sure I can modify to their needs. I also want to make sure I have different tools for making art projects because we love doing art on fun Fridays!
These students come from low-income households and enter classrooms without enough books, technology, and supplies.
Our Equity Focus empowers our community to make a difference. School is where children spend most of their time and it is important for them to have all the learning opportunities. I hope that I can get the donations to provide my students with the best out of their school experiences. Coming from a low-income district we don't always get the funding we need to support our classrooms so any donation is much appreciate. Thank you!
