My students need opportunities like wireless headphones and a Listening Center to listen to various children's literature while I am conducting guided reading groups!
I teach 25 kindergarten kiddos from the Bellevue and downtown Nashville area! I teach at a Title I school, meaning the more then 50% of our students are in the low
socioeconomic status.
My school is a melting pot of students, we house a large percentage of ELL students as well as students with special needs. Our school is so lucky to service so many different students, but it becomes challenging to meet all their needs. I'm hoping these wobble chairs will help my learners be engaged in learning!
My Project
My project will provide my learners the opportunity to listen to various children's literature while I am conducting guided reading groups. Listening to stories provide learners with fluency and increases the love of reading! I already have a ton of books on tape, we are just missing the stations for the learners! By donating to this project you will bring stories alive with the listening center! Bluetooth headphones will enable my learners to listen to stories on the two iPads we currently have. Listening stations provide focus to my learners while I am teaching small group- no time is wasted!
