My Project
Since a lot of my students went through their formative years of education during the Covid-19 Pandemic, a lot of them have not developed the foundational skill of looking through a dictionary when coming across across an unfamiliar word.
Having a class set of dictionaries will empower students to take hold of their education and teach them a life-long skill.
The sheer act of perusing through a dictionary in order to find a word is a reward itself; my students will feel as though they have accomplished a task–which is invaluable in today's age.
Overall, bringing the playfulness back to vocabulary acquisition will encourage my students to put forth more effort. I can't wait to utilize these dictionaries!
