Help me give my students accurate assessments for dyslexia and language delays. This test is rated as both specific and sensitive to the nuances of each disorder and will help me provide the targeted intervention they need.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are extremely hard workers and face many challenges. My school is a Title 1 School with many English Language Learners, both which make it difficult to sort out dyslexia versus a language delay/disorder or if a student is exceptionally challenged by both dyslexia and a language disorder.
This assessment will help me to target the specized instruction that my students need as well as to NOT overdiagnose students.
The goal is to use this highly sensitive test, which includes normative data on ELL learners and low socioeconomical student groups.
