DI Global Finals Trip Empowering Students Through the Arts

My students need funding to send fourteen students to the Destination Imagination Global Finals Tournament in Knoxville, TN.

My Students

Creativity is characterized by the ability to perceive the world in new ways, to find hidden patterns, to make connections between seemingly unrelated phenomena, and to generate solutions. Destination Imagination allows my students to express themselves.

My students attend a school of around 1,200 students.

They are creative, outgoing, and full of energy. Destination Imagination gives them the opportunity to express themselves and not be afraid to step outside of the box. These students look forward to our meetings and were so excited to win the state Destination Imagination tournament to represent our school, county, and state at Global Finals.

My Project

The funds requested will pay the fee for fourteen of my students to attend the Destination Imagination Global Finals International competition in Knoxville, TN. This will cover registration, event passes, and lunches for fourteen students. They will get to interact with students from all over the United States and even the world. There will be over 8,000 participants at the competition and over 17,000 people attending.

These donations will give my students an opportunity that they wouldn't have otherwise.

It is a very expensive trip and these kids have worked long hours to achieve their goal. They are so excited to go and I hope that we will be able to raise the money to make this possible. It is a memory that they will carry for a lifetime.
