My second-grade students are excited to learn new things and are eager to put their newly learned skills to good use. They love engaging in technology-based learning but are limited by the lack of school resources. My class is an Integrated Co-Teaching class which means that 40% of my students are classified as special education students. Differentiation through technology and leveled printed materials offer an alternate learning opportunity for my students that learn a little differently or require extra support.
Everyone learns differently and my students need their chance to show what they can do.
They meet every challenge thrown at them with an inquisitive nature I have come to truly admire. I want to expand their horizons and provide classwork that will make them feel successful.
My Project
These ASUS laptop computers will make a difference to my students by giving them access to our digital resources. They will also allow my students to navigate through our various digital programs and become proficient working on them in the event that we are forced to go back to remote learning.
There are so many wonderful digital platforms available to my students.
These devices will help them use every resource to their fullest potential. Some of these sites include access to digital libraries for my students that are not fortunate enough to have books at home. They also include educational games, differentiated instruction to meet them where they are, and so much more.
