This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In the context of the post-COVID-19 pandemic world, providing preschool-aged students with disabilities access to developmentally appropriate toys holds immense potential for enhancing their academic progress and overall well-being. With the disruption caused by the pandemic, traditional classroom interactions and hands-on learning were significantly limited. Developmentally appropriate toys can bridge this gap by offering engaging and tactile learning experiences tailored to each child's developmental level and abilities. These toys not only stimulate cognitive growth through sensory exploration, problem-solving, and imaginative play but also foster fine and gross motor skills. Moreover, these tools can serve as therapeutic outlets, promoting emotional regulation and social interaction, which are particularly crucial for children with disabilities. By offering a diverse array of toys that cater to individual needs, I will be able to create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment, ensuring that these young learners continue to thrive amidst challenging circumstances.
